The Seahorse & The Hummingbird is a fully functional e-commerce site for a board game publisher.
Built on WordPress with a custom theme, the site is fully responsive and SEO friendly.

The Problem
I had setup a WordPress e-commerce website to sell my board games. No matter which pre-fabricated theme I implemented, they all looked like slapdash, minimal-effort CMS default settings. The look came off as fly-by-night and untrustworthy.
The Solution
A custom and bespoke theme designed and built from the ground-up.
There was a notable learning curve required to generate a full theme that incorporated with WordPress-specific language and maintained full functionality of the e-commerce platform.
My Role
I am responsible for the full scope of this project: environment setup, design and visual branding, graphics, information architecture, and front-end and back-end development.
The Seahorse & The Hummingbird will forever be a work-in-progress. There will always be room for improvement, always tucks and tweaks for improved conversion and performance.
The Result
The work has resulted in a much more professional experience, which goes a long way toward engendering the trust of the users. Upon launch, I saw a notable increase in sales and conversion rates.
